Ice Ice Baby

Ice Ice Baby
Experiment
On friday morning we did a ice experiment,we got in groups, my group was immersed in water. We did our experiment at P.E.S in Ruma 4.We felt excited to do the experiment but people who did hold & pass their hands were cold because miss sipes got it out of the freezer.

I noticed.
I noticed that the ice was really cold when we did immersed in water it didn’t work so we got more water from the art room” then we won because we got more water and immersed in water was 2 minutes and 39 seconds and the one that lost was leave alone because it took 22 minutes.44.seconds to completely melt

Test/Results
After we made our hypothesis which task melted the ice the fastest, we tested them. We got into groups and timed how long it took for the ice to melt. The year 6 group was disqualified as they started to blow, on the ice and move it around in the water. There task was only to immerse the ice in water. We talked about that not being a fair test and would make the results inaccurate. The most effective task was immersed in water it took 2 minutes and 38 seconds to melt the ice. The task that was the least effective was the leave it alone. It took 22 minutes 44 seconds to completely melt the ice.
Why/Research
In the experiment i learned that everything is made from matter.  The three different states of matter are solids, liquids, gas. The atoms for solids are really close together ,liquid is close together but not that close and the atoms that make gas are spread out everywhere.
